Typically, jasmine tea has a green tea base, scented with jasmine blossoms for a floral aroma.

Davidson’s Mao Jian Jasmine has a green tea base that is sourced from Wuyuan County, in the Jiangxi Province of China, an ecologically-pure area known as part of the “Green Tea Golden Triangle.” But the green tea base is merely a small ingredient in the process of making high-quality jasmine tea.

Once grown and plucked, the green tea is sent nearly a thousand miles away to Hengxian County, a region known as “The Land of Jasmine.” In fact, it is the world’s production center of jasmine flower and jasmine tea, with an annual output of nearly 80,000 tons. Hengxian County’s expertise in the jasmine trade dates back four centuries.

In order to ensure that the green tea base carries the jasmine aroma, the tea is baked, making it more neutral and subtle for the jasmine essence to be more easily absorbed.

Davidson’s Mao Jian Jasmine is light, crisp and floral, with a freshly-bloomed jasmine aroma. Davidson’s recommends enjoying this blend hot and pure, without any added sweeteners or milk.

Brewing Instructions:
  1. Heat fresh, filtered water just short of the boiling point.
  2. Add 2 grams of tea to a infuser, or straight into an 8-oz. mug.
  3. Pour the heated water into the mug.
  4. Steep for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Strain tea leaves, or take out the infuser.
  6. Sip and enjoy Davidson’s organic tea.
