Description:
Bancha is a traditional style of green tea enjoyed by most in Japan. This tea consists of mature tea leaves and stems from the autumn and winter harvests, then gently pan-roasted to create a nutty sweet flavor and golden infusion. Because it is harvested later in the year using more mature tea leaves, it develops more tannin and less caffeine than most black teas. It is an energizing and soothing cup of hot tea, and also makes a delicious thirst-quenching cold brew tea as well.
Taste:
Bancha is a refreshing green tea with a mildly sweet, grassy flavor and subtle pan-roasted aroma.

As I have taken to consuming 4-5 cups of green per day, in hopes of benefiting from its preventive medicinal attributes, this one is a great one to utilize daily. Nice smokey notes, goes down easy. Alternating with the Earl Gray Green and the Himalayan makes for a fun week of teas.
