Description:

Ceremonial Matcha Powder (Loose Leaf) is a pure, high quality, ceremonial-grade matcha powder.

Taste:

Davidson's Ceremonial Matcha Powder (Loose Leaf) carries a characteristic earthy, vegetal flavor profile.

Origin:

Davidson's Ceremonial Matcha Powder (Loose Leaf) is sourced from small tea farmers in Japan. Davidson's co-owner, Kunall Patel, visits our Japanese small farmers often to understand their cultivation practices. During a recent visit, he captured this shot of shaded tea leaves in the fog and rain.

History:

Partake in a timeless tea tradition that has been a part of the tea culture for centuries. The matcha tea ritual is one that requires elegance, balance and beauty. For many, the traditional ceremony is thought of as a bonding experience, promoting mindfulness, respect and focus. Ceremonial-Grade Matcha Powder is superior to that of the Culinary-Grade Matcha Powder. Ceremonial Matcha is meant for just that - ceremony. With the use of a designated bowl, whisk and spoon, this quality tea becomes more of a ritual and less of a simple beverage. Ceremonial Matcha is meant to be enjoyed pure, without the added flavor of steamed milk or sweetener. Culinary Matcha, on the other hand, is meant for cooking and combination, and is the grade of matcha that you would commonly drink in coffee shops or cafés. To elevate your tea experience, prepare Davidson's Ceremonial Matcha Powder (Loose Leaf) with Davidson's Matcha Kits.

Ingredients:

Organic ceremonial-grade green tea powder.

Brewing:

  1. Heat fresh filtered water just short of the boiling point.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of Davidson's Organic Ceremonial Matcha Powder to an 8 oz. bowl.
  3. Pour the heated water into the bowl.
  4. Whisk the tea using a tea whisk for approximately 1-2 minutes, until the Matcha Powder foams.
  5. Do not strain any small Matcha Powder particles.
  6. Enjoy the Ceremonial tea experience.

The ceremonial tea I used to get from your company was a better quality than this recent purchase. Though I do like the loose teas.

This Was not Ceremonial MATCHA
Sean Emmett (Lynn, MA) 4/13/2023 6:15 PM
I purchased a 1lb bag of Davidsons Ceremonial matcha Green Powder on Amazon. I received a bag stamped Lot# 136038 Best Buy :08/29/2024 What I received did not look or taste like Ceremonial Grade Matcha, I have been to Japan & Ave Drank Ceremonial Matcha in a Tea House There. When I opened the bag the first thing I noticed was the color, it was NOT the bright Green jade shade that I have come to recognize as Ceremonial Matcha, I Also made a cup of hot Matcha ,THAT was The Confirming Factor. As it was Not Sweet Veg taste of ceremonial matcha, but the opposite taste found in culinary grade matcha. I do not appreciate a company that take my hard earned money by misleading Labeling of a product and taking advantage of someone by thinking they will not know enough to give a true review of a product. There was no specific Japanese region on the bag, the only location was Reno,Nevada on the bag, but the website boosts “Many Farms in Japan” meaning again nothing specific! Im disgusted with Davidsons Tea for there terrible attempt to trick US consumers trusting there product is what they say, THANX For showing Us your True Shade of Green!
