Description:
Dragonwell is one of China's most beloved, robust green teas, well-known for its characteristic taste and cultivation.
Taste:
Davidson’s Dragonwell carries a sweet aroma with a deep, nut-like flavor profile.
Origin:
|
Davidson’s sources its organic Dragonwell from the Qian Tang region, particularly from the Jiande Tea Garden in the Zhejiang Province. Davidson's co-owner, Kunall Patel, takes the time to visit our Chinese suppliers often to understand their farming practices. During his last visit, Kunall took this picture of the general landscape and climate. |
History:
True dragonwell can only be cultivated in two regions; Yue Zhou and Qian Tang. This region is well known for its altitude and climate, surrounded by mountains and cloaked in clouds and mist. The area has an abundant forest coverage, with many rivers trickling through the terrain. The Jiande Tea Garden is over 80 miles away from the nearest city, ensuring a pure environment and water source. A majority of the small farmers in this region have a heritage that extends centuries, near the end of the Song Dynasty. In this way, the farmers know the land and its climate, and nurture the tea by hand with great skill and care. Ingredients:
Organic dragonwell green tea.
Brewing:
- Bring fresh water to just under the boiling point.
- Add one tea bag to one 8oz cup of hot water.
- Allow the tea bag to steep for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove and strain the tea bag.

I steep this 4 minutes and brew it strong, and I love the smoky intensity that results. A terrific tea!
