Description:
Moonlight White (Loose Leaf) is Chinese white tea that gets its name from its curved, moon-like buds. Taste:
Davidson's Moonlight White (Loose Leaf) brews golden in the cup and carries a creamy, sweet flavor profile. Origin:
|
Davidson's Moonlight White (Loose Leaf) is sourced from the Yunnan Province in China. The tea farms are located on the Wu Liang Mountain, an area that is part of a National Nature Reserve. Davidson's co-owner, Kunall Patel, visits our Chinese small farmers often in order to understand their cultivation practices. In this image, tea farmers pluck dewy buds at dawn. |
History:
The buds of Moonlight White are often plucked at dawn or dusk in cooler dewy conditions, sometimes even at dark, as farmers believe that the air’s high oxygen and energy levels combine to produce a tender, smoother tea-leaf taste.
Ingredients:
Organic white tea.
Brewing:
- Heat fresh, filtered water just short of the boiling point.
- Add 2 grams of tea to a infuser, or straight into an 8-oz. mug.
- Pour the heated water into the mug.

- Strain tea leaves, or take out the infuser.
- Sip and enjoy Davidson’s organic tea.

I love plain white tea. Often I buy Pai Mu tea, because this is most often available in organic form. The moonlight tea is smooth, deeply flavorful and richly colored. A++

I had purchased this variety of tea from a different supplier for the last couple of years and that supplier went out of business. I had been searching for a while for anyone who carried this tea(also known as White Moon Jinggu). I'm so glad I found it. This is a White Tea with Puerh properties. It is fresh and crisp tasting like a standard white tea but with malty undertones. It is a nice change of pace from my other two favorites, Silver Needle and White Peony. Do yourself a favor and try this tea.
