|
Davidson's organic lemongrass and lavender are sourced from Egypt. Lemongrass grows in clumps of long, slender stems. It's wildly used in cooking because of its delicious citrus taste and smell. Lavender has been used for centuries because of its many medicinal properties. |
History: In 2017, Davidson's teamed up with local coffee shop, Coffeebar, to create two amazing custom tea blends to serve Coffeebar's growing customer base. The blends were inspired with the serenity of Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in mind along with the love for organic teas by Coffeebar owner, Greg Buchheister. Here is what Greg has to say about the blends: Ingredients: Organic chamomile, organic peppermint, organic lemongrass, organic rosehips, organic dried cherry, organic lavender, organic stevia and natural flavor. Brewing:
- Bring fresh, filtered water to a boil.
- Add 2 grams of tea to a infuser, or straight into an 8-oz. mug.
- Pour the heated water into the mug.
- Steep for 5-7 minutes.
- Strain tea leaves, or take out the infuser.
- Sip and enjoy Davidson’s organic tea.

A Dark Slightly Sweet Peppermint Tea

Although peppermint is never my cup of tea, it is a full bodied morning-type drink. The peppermint fully overpowers the tea so if you like peppermint, then this “morning brew“ will give you a peppermint fix. The only thing that evokes “morning“ is that it is dark colored in the cup just like coffee. It does not have caffeine. It does have a tad of stevia
for mild sweetness. I imagine that this would be good mixed with real Cocoa to make a peppermint hot chocolate. Again, it is not my cup of tea, but I’m giving it four stars because others might appreciate the dark sweet peppermint flavor in the morning. I do believe a better representative name would be “Morning Peppermint”.
