What is Moringa? Moringa [Moringa Oleifera], also generally known as the “Miracle Tree of Life” is a native tree found in the Himalayan regions of India but also grows in the tropical
and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia and South America. Belonging to the family of Moringaceae, Moringa is referred to as “Shobhanjana” which means a “very auspicious tree.” While most parts of the moringa tree are useful for both food and medicine, the most potent part of the tree comes from the moringa leaves, and are considered highly nutritious and filled with a
variety of proteins, vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, essential amino acids and antioxidants. This adaptogenic nutrient-packed superfood herb is widely used in Asian culinary food recipes and in traditional ayurvedic medicinal remedies for stress management, weight management, skin/hair wellness, immunity strengthening and anti-inflammation properties.
What does Moringa taste like? Moringa tea’s tasting notes include earthiness similar to green tea but less bitter. Moringa can tolerate high temperatures and longer brewing times.
