Glass Teapot

I think the idea of a glass teapot to view the brewing is great! The warmer bottom is a good idea, too, and keeps the leftover tea warm. However, the glass insert is too tight of a fit. On about my 3rd use, the insert got stuck in the opening with heating and cooling. I tried very gently removing it. Tried the cold/warm method that you use for 2 glasses that get stuck. No luck and the insert cracked. Bummer! Finally got them apart using a lot of oil and patience. The pot still is great, but insert needs to be more narrow. Even when dry it's a tight fit.

I have this teapot and warmer and it is not only beautiful but practical as well. Don't let it's fragile appearance fool you, it's sturdier than it looks & with only minimal care it should last a long time. I've used mine everyday for several years. I recently started drinking rooibos & the infuser does a great job of keeping the tiny leaves down to a minimum. Yes a few escape because rooibos is so finely cut, but that never bothered me. For rooibos, you can keep your tea not for several hours with this, or as long as you like if you keep adding fresh tea candles. The brew is never bitter even after many hours. So convenient & always ready for a nice hot cup of tea. And did I mention it is beautiful? Always a favorite treat for my tea loving guests. Try it...and the sale price is a really good deal. I paid that just for the pot alone.
