Description:

Davidson's Haathi (the Hindi word for "elephant") Darjeeling Lavender is a full-bodied black tea brew layered with soothing and restorative lavender.

Taste:

A golden brew with a floral and honey-like flavor profile.

Origin:

Davidson’s organic black tea in this blend comes from our Certified Elephant Friendly™ tea estate, Snowview, a 1451-acre organic tea garden located in the Kalimpong region of West Bengal, India in the foothills of the pristine Himalayan mountains and surrounded by the Chapramari forest reserve, which borders Bhutan on one side. The river Murti runs through the tea garden, and the garden is home to elephants, peacocks, and a wide range of bird species - including endangered hornbills. The teas offered from this garden are carefully crafted in small batches from hand-plucked leaves. This tea garden holds the following certifications: Elephant Friendly™, Fair Trade, USDA Organic, Demeter Biodynamic, and is a member of the Ethical Tea Partnership.

Ingredients:

Organic black tea, organic lavender petals, and organic corn flowers.

Brewing:

  1. Bring fresh, filtered water to a boil.
  2. Add 2 grams of tea to a infuser, or straight into an 8-oz. mug.
  3. Pour the heated water into the mug.
  4. Steep for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Strain tea leaves, or take out the infuser.
  6. Sip and enjoy Davidson’s organic tea.
